Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil
Praia do Cassino, stretching over 200 km along Brazil’s southern coast, is recognized as the world’s longest beach, but its southern section near the city of Rio Grande remains largely unexplored by the international kitesurfing community. This area offers vast, uncrowded sandy expanses and consistent wind, making it ideal for downwinders and long-distance kitesurfing adventures. The southern section is characterized by wild, pristine beaches, occasional lagoons, and minimal development, giving it a remote, adventurous feel. The local infrastructure is basic, with a few small guesthouses and restaurants in Cassino town. The spot is accessible via paved roads from Rio Grande city, which is served by a regional airport. The southern section is best suited for experienced riders due to its remote nature, strong winds, and powerful Atlantic swells.
